For several years, the animals kept asking me the same question. “Will you let us show you how we want energy work to be offered?” At the time, I was already teaching Reiki, including at the Master level. I loved helping people and animals and felt grateful for everything Reiki had brought to my life.
My answer to the animals was no. Not once, but repeatedly, for nearly two years. I truly believed I already had the tools and knowledge I needed. Yet, the animals kept asking. Eventually, I agreed to listen… What followed changed my life.
Over the next two years, animals, nature, Mother Earth, and St. Francis of Assisi began sharing teachings, experiences, and guidance that eventually became Sacred Animal Spirit Alchemy™ (SASA).
One of my greatest teachers during that time was my beloved heart horse, Tara. Another was my wolf-dog, Rain, who shared the name Sacred Animal Spirit Alchemy near the end of her life. What surprised me most was that the animals were not trying to create another healing modality simply for the sake of creating something new. They wanted to help. They wanted to become active participants in the healing process. They wanted us to remember that healing is not always about directing, fixing, controlling, or trying to force an outcome.
Instead, they wanted to teach partnership: Partner-ship with animals. Partnership with nature. Partnership with Mother Earth. Partnership with the wisdom that already exists all around us. Since 2014, students from around the world have been learning Sacred Animal Spirit Alchemy. Many come expecting to learn an energy healing modality. Most leave with much more.
They often discover a deeper connection with animals, a greater appreciation for nature and Mother Earth, increased trust in themselves, and a stronger awareness of the guidance that is available all around them.
Some students use SASA for personal growth and healing. Others incorporate it into their professional work with people or animals. Some eventually choose to teach it themselves. What I continue to hear over and over is that SASA feels different. Perhaps that’s because the animals helped create it.
This fall, I will be offering a Sacred Animal Spirit Alchemy Zoom Certification Class that starts September 1. On September 26, I’ll have an in-person class at my home in Paradise Valley, Montana.
Over six weekly classes, you will learn how to work in partnership with animals, nature, and Mother Earth while offering Sacred Animal Spirit Alchemy to both people and animals. Or if you’re local, you can learn it in one full day. Whether you are completely new to energy work or have experience with Reiki or other modalities, you are welcome.
The animals never intended SASA to be complicated. They wanted it to be experienced. After teaching SASA for more than a decade, I continue to be amazed by what animals, nature, and Mother Earth are willing to share when we are willing to slow down, listen, and trust. I remain grateful every day that I finally said yes.
