Over the last twenty years or so, a significant improvement has taken place in the health product industry that supplies natural supplements, nutrition, and cosmetics. The industry offers the consumer refined and effective products to supplement children and adults, so they can enhance their health.
Many years ago, Gary Young, founder of Young Living Essential Oils, invited people in the health product industry to attend a meeting to discuss setting standards in the natural health field. When he presented his expectations to uplift the industry as a whole, he received a surprising response. The owners and representatives of companies did not understand why anyone would go beyond the FDA requirements. He was trying to set an American standard that would bring pride and respect to the alternative product industry. No companies accepted his offer. Instead, Gary set the standard on his own, and that standard has become the world-renowned “Seed to Seal” standard.
