Relaxor Touch is soothing touch that induces the Relaxation Response. Though it can be given to any part of the body, we will focus here on self-touch of the scalp and face, including the back of the neck.

Relaxor Touch involves self-nurturance and self-kindness. We will use soft, slow strokes. It is special that we are both the giver and receiver. Body position is either sitting or lying down. The time frame is two to six minutes. Such a time interval can fit into the transition points of any busy day: wake-up, before meals, breaktimes, and pre-sleep. Privacy is important. Quiet is suggested.
