Helping Your Animals with Healing Energy

Animals and Nature Can Teach Life-Changing Energy Work

Kim Shotola
March – April 2023 • Vol 4, No 3

We all have this amazing life force inside of us that can help animals and people. Because we all are matter, and matter is energy, methods that utilize energy have the ability to heal on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. For animals, energy work has the ability to:

  • Release and heal emotions from traumatic situations such as abuse, neglect, accident, or injury.
  • Resolve behavioral issues by providing relaxation and reducing stress and anxiety.
  • Heal illness and injuries more quickly.
  • Require less anesthesia, so animals recover more easily from sedation.
  • Bring comfort and peace to you and your pet when they cross the rainbow bridge.
  • Open the doorway to animal communication. (Energy work can deepen your heart and soul connection.)

It is only natural to place your hand over an injured area of your body. Most people have no idea why they have this innate response. Here’s how you can offer basic healing energy to your pet:

  1. Sit on the floor (or furniture if needed) about 5–10 feet from your pet. It is best to start off with some distance as some animals are sensitive to energy.
  2. Set your intention to send healing energy to your pet for their greatest good, that your pet should only take whatever amount of energy they want to, and what they don’t use goes where it’s needed in the universe.
  3. Tap the center of your chest and your collarbone with your fingertips to awaken the energy. Rub your palms together.
  4. Let your arms hang naturally. Place your hands next to one another with your palms angled towards your pet. Allow energy to flow from your hands.
  5. If your pet moves away, stay where you are and send energy from the greater distance. In time, they will probably seek the energy and want to be close. It is never necessary to touch them, though. Let your animal show you how much energy they desire.

I taught Reiki and other energy work for many years. I was then guided by the animals and St. Francis of Assisi to create an energy-work program they wanted people to learn called Sacred Animal Spirit Alchemy (SASA.) It took two, patient years to receive the curriculum from them, and since early 2016, we have taught SASA to students from all over the world. SASA is energy in its purest, natural form. The animals and nature help you to:

  • Strengthen your connection with them by raising your frequency.
  • Receive their ancient wisdom and knowledge.
  • Become in tune with them by enhancing your innate abilities.
  • Nurture and direct the sacred energy within yourself.
  • Offer healing for animals, people, and situations based on their guidance.

Energy work helps you to become more grounded and in tune with yourself, others and animals. Know that you are a beacon of light and love, connected to the animals and nature. SASA helps to raise your spiritual awareness so that you may impact the universe and bring joy and healing to all living things. The animals and nature come together to teach you profound and life-changing energy work.

Consider offering basic healing energy to the animals in your care. See the difference you can make. Perhaps you will be inspired to explore and learn more!

INFINITE LOVE…

The Ultimate Healer

Bethel Wagner
November – December 2022 • Vol 4, No 1

Scientists estimate that stress is at the root of 80–90% of all diseases. I would argue that stress is involved with 100% of diseases because stress is anything that moves the body out of its balanced state of homeostasis. When we are ill, we are out of balance by definition!

I would also submit that all stress is a response to fear or danger, whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. It only makes sense that the opposite of stress and fear is the antidote to all imbalance, illness, and disease. The obvious question is, “What is the opposite of fear and stress?”

The opposite of fear is love, especially the infinite, unconditional love of God, the Creator of all that is. I believe this love is the light and life-giving energy that created and sustains all things. It is the love that brought every one of us into being, and it is the love that makes us whole.

Our Hand Gestures Are Sacred—

Let’s Use Them More Consciously!

David Christopher Lewis
November – December 2022 • Vol 4, No 1

Our hands are sacred extensions of our hearts when we are involved in any loving activity that serves life and others. Consider the lesser-known chakras within our hands that are activated whenever we engage them in sacred work. Beautiful energies are emitted from them, which are a blessing and a boon. Our consciousness is extended through our arms, hands and fingers, which expand the reach of our heart chakra. They are close to the level of our heart chakra, so its energy can move through our arms, hands and fingers to help heal and benefit life.

Consider all the gestures that we make and the things that we do with our hands. We can choose to make these gestures much more consciously and often more slowly, as if engaging in Tai Chi or Qi Gong movements. What we put our attention upon, we become. We may engage with the Eternal Now by using our hands more reverently and holily, with honor, respect and conscious attention, because we are magnifying everything with the energies that flow through them.

Mother Earth’s Inherent Wisdom

Near Downtown Livingston, MT

David Christopher Lewis
November – December 2021 • Vol 3, No 118

It is surely an interesting time to be alive and to experience the changes that are occurring across our planet! Even with government mandates initiated on a massive scale to limit our personal health choices—seemingly for the common welfare of all citizens—more information is available than ever before to awaken us to new possibilities for our optimal spiritual, as well as physical, emotional, and mental well-being. The greater the governmental, medical, or media establishment’s measures to control our options, the greater the push-back from concerned and enlightened citizens, who have often been on the forefront of offering new, nature-based wellness modalities that utilize Mother Earth’s inherent wisdom.

With a team of Aquarian visionaries, I opened The Alchemy Exchange store in Livingston, Montana in 2013. We offer numerous wellness products, many of which are infused with frequencies that are beneficial to our inner and outer health and wholeness. I’d like to highlight a few of these products that my wife and I personally use in our home or that others who I know have felt tangible benefits when using them. For the holidays, you may want to “gift yourself” or a loved one with something from our store that resonates with you.

Beating Holiday Stress!

with Some Healthy Self-Giving!

Dawna Campbell
Nov – Dec 2021 • Vol 3, No 118

The holiday season is the season for giving. The problem is we are always giving. We give of our time, money, and energy, especially during the holidays. However, in order to give, we must know how to receive. Give yourself some gifts of Holiday cheer!

Give yourself the gift of nurturing you. This is a time for you to give to yourself, to recharge, replenish, and revitalize from your day. Nurturing yourself allows the mind to relax and to release extra electromagnetic frequencies we receive from electronic devices, restoring you back to balance. Some ideas could be a fifteen-minute walk outside to gather fresh air, a long overdue massage, or perhaps a luxury bath.

The benefits for nurturing yourself? For every 15 minutes of physical movement, you burn approximately 20 carbs, releasing endorphins, and eliminating potential excess weight you might gain throughout the holidays. A good deep-tissue massage will give your lymphatic system a complete workout and release built-up toxins from all the holiday cheers you consume. Warm water from a bath will recharge and replenish your energy. Water and blood both contain negative ions, and two negatives equal a positive—a win/win for you. However you choose to nurture yourself, the positive side effect is that when you fill yourself up first, you have more to give.

Healing From Within—

We Create Our Reality Thru Beliefs, Thoughts, Words & Actions

Bethel Wagner
July – August 2021 • Vol 3, No 116

Many people today take the view that healing comes from an outside source. They think of it as something that happens when a doctor or practitioner prescribes medicines or performs procedures. The patient passively sits by, rarely participating or collaborating in any meaningful way. This is true of western medicine, but I see it creep its way into natural medicine as well.

People go to a practitioner expecting to be fixed. Sadly, many never consider the idea that we carry the ability to heal within ourselves. No amount of drugs, herbs, vitamins, or therapies will restore health without the intentional, focused participation of the patient. These things may reduce or mask symptoms, but they rarely offer true healing.

When people grasp this, they begin to take ownership of their health. They begin to make the kinds of choices that bring their life into alignment with their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. They begin to view healing as a collaborative effort where the health practitioner is simply there to guide and support.

Sacred Tears

Discovering the Life You Long to Live

Robyn Bridges
November-December 2020 • Vol 3, No 112

We live in such extraordinarily hard times! With the advent of Covid-19, fear is rampant, masks and distancing are mandated, and many are experiencing sorely diminished income and travel restrictions. Wild natural phenomena—floods, fires and hurricanes—are destroying homes and displacing animals and lives. It seems we are beset on all sides by seemingly endless wars and famine in the world, and by civil and political unrest and divisions. It’s such a challenge to find peace amidst all this chaos!

We each have a sacred task during this time, and it’s up to us to recognize it and take action. We can all serve others as we access loving responses to stress, stay in the present moment, and speak with conscious awareness. In addition, there are those who, if not caught in trauma-shock, are feeling called to engage in the world as never before. Some forge ahead on the front lines of social justice.

Adrenals—Our Fire Element! What Are They?

What Weakens Them? How to Restore Them?
Can STONES Help?

Marlenea La Shomb, ND, LMT
March-April 2020 • Vol 3, No 109

The endocrine system is the synergistic interaction of all the glands. It is directly related to our emotional, feeling body and light centers. The adrenal glands are located in the trunk of our body, which in martial arts, is known as the chi or qi area, and our furnace. This gives us our first clue that we’re in the fire element and drinking or eating a lot of cold, icy drinks can put that fire out. In quantum physics (patterns within patterns), it’s the figure-8 flow, as above so below—the Alpha/Omega return current of life’s journeys.

The adrenal glands sit like two tiny pyramids on top of the kidneys, seated on a pad of fat. Simplified, they consist of an outer core and an inner core. The outer core secretes the hormone cortisol, which controls swelling and bacterial, excess heat, also known as inflammation, the precursor to all disease in the body. Along with stress, inflammation is at the core of burned-out adrenals (also known as exhaustion or chronic fatigue). That’s why MDs give cortisone shots.

The inner core of the adrenals releases adrenaline, our jump-start in the morning, and maintains our level of energy all day long. The adrenals are sunlight activated, as all the hormone system is. This gives us our second clue, that sun gazing, used for centuries, is a great way to strengthen, heal and repair your adrenals.

Light Your Fire with Mantras!

Fan the Inner Fire of the Heart to Transform
the Elements of Your Being

Kathleen Karlsen
March – April 2020 • Vol 3, No 109

The five-element system is an ancient healing system focused on the transformation of energy. This system uses a basic set of elements to classify forces in nature, types of food, personalities, symbols, colors, mantras and more.

There are some differences between various natural element systems, although they all share the fundamental principle of change through energy conversion. In the Vedic system, the elements utilized are water, earth, ether, air and fire. Mantras can be classified according to each element.

Although all of the elements are powerful for different purposes, I’d like to concentrate on how to use the fire element and fire mantras to literally light a positive fire in your life. The concept of sacred fire exists in nearly every spiritual tradition. Fire is a physical symbol of the removal of obstacles within and without. In fact, chanting near or over a physical fire can increase the action of mantras in general.

Expanding the Breath of Life

Take a Deep Breath and Sing!

Kathleen Karlsen
January – February 2020 • Vol 3, No 108

To expand your capacity for breath is to expand your capacity for life. The lungs are the ideal container for the breath and for the production of sound. Breathing takes a unique combination of strength and relaxation. As you breathe in, the alveoli—clusters of tiny “balloons” at the ends of the branches of your airways—are filled and expanded. As you breathe out, the “balloons” relax and deflate.

The capacity of the lungs can be increased in several ways, including chanting mantras and singing in general. The diaphragm (below the lungs) and the intercostal muscles (between the ribs) play key roles in both singing and breathing. As you expand your lungs to breathe deeply to sing, the ribs expand and the intercostal muscles will strengthen and increase the potential volume of your lungs.
